“ Popped in today and I was very glad I did, we've been trying a few cafes round South Shields and this is the best one we've been to. Coffee is spot on and not at all pretentious (no flutes of latte here thank you!), we arrived a little late so although we where told it was fine didn't opt for a full English instead opting for a bacon and sausage stottie and it was perfect, propper brown sauce, perfectly crisp bacon and tasty sausages and of course a proper half stottie. It's surprisingly difficult to find somewhere that gets this right but they do here. The staff where very friendly and efficient and the place is very welcoming, it's a proper community cafe, it's quite basic in terms of decor and I'm pretty sure some of the original from when it was a corner shop is still around but it doesn't matter because they've focused on what matters, good food, good drinks and a nice relaxing atmosphere. Wouldn't change a thing. ”
“ Perfect local cafe with tasty breakfasts. It’s dog friendly and has plenty of parking nearby. Staff were super lovely and service was very quick. For less than 20 we got 2 stotties, a full breakfast, 2 pots of tea and a latte. This is amazing value and we can’t wait to come back. The only bad point was the sausages were a little tough (definitely not a major issue) ”
“ A great lunch out here today . 4 of us managed to get the last table so a lovely busy atmosphere made all the better with the Christmas carol singers(customers!) in the corner complete with guitar accompaniment.Staff very welcoming as usual. ”
